Tamannaah Bhatia has opened up about one of the most challenging sequences she filmed for ‘The Vvaan’, revealing that she had to overcome her fear of being underwater for a crucial scene in the film. In a recent interview, the actress, who does not know how to swim, underwent swimming and deep-sea diving training before filming the sequence. She also credited co-star Sidharth Malhotra, who is a deep-sea diver, for helping her through the demanding shoot.

Speaking to Mid-Day, Tamannaah Bhatia recalled her experience of filming the underwater sequence in ‘The Vvaan’. The scene features her character facing a near-drowning situation in the song Chhathi Maiya, making it particularly challenging for the actor.“I cannot swim. I was required to almost drown, and I know how to do that very well,” Tamannaah said with a laugh.The actor admitted that she was initially extremely apprehensive about shooting the sequence because of her inability to swim. She explained that she had to undergo specialised training before stepping into the water for the scene.“I was terrified when I had to do the underwater scene. I had to take swimming and deep-sea diving classes before I began shooting. I have to give credit to Sidharth; he is a deep-sea diver and supported me a lot,” she said.

Despite the physically demanding sequence, Tamannaah described her overall experience of working on ‘The Vvaan’ as deeply satisfying. Addressing reports of an alleged rift between director and actor Sidharth Malhotra, she dismissed the speculation and said she had not found any truth in the rumours.“I have heard the rumours, but I don’t think there is any truth to them. ‘The Vvaan’ was made with the purest of intentions, with the best resources that we had. Filmmaking is about unity in diversity,” Tamannaah said.
Tamannaah Bhatia says ‘The Vvaan’s success has given her ‘more than my due’
In recent years, Tamannaah has appeared in several Hindi projects while also focusing on OTT releases and making appearances in films. Asked whether the response to ‘The Vvaan’ made her feel she had finally received her due as an actor, she said she was not looking at her career in those terms.“I have got more than my due from ‘The Vvaan’. Acting is my love. The journey can have its own struggles, physically, mentally, and emotionally — but I act because it makes me happy. That’s maybe the reason why I have never been bitter about my struggle or [questioned] whether I have got my due or not,” she said.
