Multiple reports over the years have also revealed that Clooney shared a close bond with the 27-year-old model and was there for him through a lot of his hard times. Clooney opened up about Presley’s passing for the first time, while talking to Entertainment Tonight at the event. He shared, “Quite honestly, it’s one of the most devastating things that’s happened to our family, and their family is just as you can imagine.”He added, “It’s the worst thing that could ever happen with family.”The Clooneys shared a close bond with both Presley and his sister, the ‘Shards’ actress Kaia Gerber, and would often be the people they reached out to. An earlier statement from The Daily Mail shared, “George has always been the person people turn to when they’re going through something, and with something of this magnitude, that isn’t going to change. It doesn’t matter how busy he is or what he has going on in his own life—if Rande or anyone in the family needs him, everything else stops. It’s really that simple. That’s what family does.”

The 27-year-old and his family had been quite open and honest about his struggles with substance abuse. The model also regularly posted about his journey dealing with addiction and how his family and the people around him were always there for him.In August, a month before his passing, his sister, Kaia, had opened up about her brother’s addiction while talking to Vogue. At the time, she had stated, “When something like that happens in a family, it kind of levels everyone. I think that’s also why I started to self-identify as the easy one and never wanted to ask for help. Because it felt like too much to have two children who were needing it.”She had also praised her brother at the time for being so open about his struggles and starting his own initiatives to start a conversation about the matter. She shared during the interview, “My parents for most of our lives were very, very private and didn’t share anything – and now we have this absolute teacher, my brother, who says, ‘I’m going to be very human for everyone.'” There’s only so much you can hide from the world. And trying to put a lid on something just makes the person feel like you’re ashamed of them.”
What happened to Presley Gerber?
Presley Gerber passed away on September 20 after an alleged overdose at a sober house. According to reports earlier shared by TMZ, the model had been admitted into the sober house by his sober coach, even though he was allegedly aware that Gerber was under the influence at the time. The outlet also shared that the admission’s officer was also aware of the state that Gerber had been at the time and still agreed to have him stay at the sober house. Investigation into his passing is still underway.
